Complete Patrol Logger (CPL) started its life at Carrum SLSC approximately 4 years ago. Back then it was only a small project designed to track members at a small club. However, with other clubs finding out about CPL and requesting to use it for their own purposes, it was not long before clubs started purchasing the software. Bondi was the first club to purchase CPL and had significant input into much of the programs current functionality you see today.

August 1999 saw CPL being trialed with two other programs, Surf Connect and Surf Mate. The trial was to last until May 2000 on which a decision would be made as to which program clubs were to standardise on. Much to our delight CPL was selected by the SLSA Board of Management as the program of choice for club membership administration.

With clubs and state centres now purchasing CPL and StateWatch, Caligular Group are working even harder to extend and refine the functionality of both programs. Furthermore, a new web site has been developed to assist in the role out around Australia, and to establish a communications interface between Caligular Group and clubs.

The web site is at its infancy at the moment, but as more people join in submitting suggestions, tips etc, the database will grow and become extremely useful for both experienced users of CPL and the novice. Within the site we have a new download process which gathers information prior to releasing the file and suggestion and bug areas where users can either contribute their ideas or report on any bugs they may find. Features and release notes will be updated as more functionality is added to both programs, and of course we will be building a knowledge base and user forum area where users can search for information as well as chat and ask questions.

We see the next twelve months as a very dynamic period for both CPL and StateWatch, with the introduction and refinement of features such as Award Work Flow, Competition Entries On-Line and Competition Rankings.

Furthermore, the site also allows you to download Complete Patrol Logger and experience a 30 day trial of the software. After the trial period is over, a registration number will be required. It should be noted that even though the program has stopped, your data is still retained and is available to you once the software is purchased.

To obtain your Registration Number you can visit the Registration Page, and by answering a few simple questions the Registration Number will be e-mailed out to you.
